The team of 14 Manzanita School 7th-8th-9th graders from our inaugural year (2014-15) perform a spoken word/dance that they composed, wrote, and choreographed themselves. This piece, performed on June 12th, 2015, was inspired by the permaculture documentary "Inhabit" (by Costa Boutsikaris and Emmett Brennan), and also from our three trimesters of study at Manzanita School, which examine: (1) Earth Systems Science ('Gaia' Theory); (2) The Great Turning; and (3) The New Story, respectively. The music for this piece is part of the soundtrack for the documentary "Inhabit," and was composed by Aled Roberts, with cello by Maria Hadge.
