Jeff Stauffer is both a gifted naturalist and teacher. We are thrilled to welcome him to our 6th grade team. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in science education, a California multiple subject teaching credential, and a general science certification. He was an instructor at River Ridge Environmental School in Tennessee, an ethnobotanist and naturalist at Pathfinder Ranch Outdoor Educational School in California, and was the Lead Outdoor Science Instructor for Los Angeles County Outdoor Science School. Jeff also worked as a middle school science teacher in Orlando, Florida. Jeff brings a wealth of experience in local California flora, fauna, geology, and mycology, has a gifted and nurturing way in mentoring youth, and possesses diverse nature connection instructional skills. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, snorkeling, spearfishing, practicing Stone Age skills, nature photography, and spending time with his wife Jade and cat Nala. Jeff is excited to join the Manzanita community!
